I think it's a huge red flag when a CEO acts like this. Look at what the company LedgerX just had to do - sack its co-founders, for starting beef with CFTC. It's just immaturity, or something is eating these guys from the inside and these combative statements are a form of denial

Somebody has to say what everybody's actually thinking about the NYAG's inquiry. The placative kowtowing toward this kind of abuse sends the message that it's ok. It's not ok. It's insulting. coindesk.com/kraken-ceo-cry

Hey, Kyle. I appreciate the management tips. Always interested in hearing the opinions of other leaders who have built/run billion dollar companies.
In this specific case, NY was the hostile aggressor. Kraken had no business in NY. Out of social responsibility, we pushed back.

Ah, it's both!

The timeline was pretty ridiculous, IMHO.

It is possible to share that opinion without coming across as a jackass, i.e. comparing New York to a "jilted lover."

"Based on this investigation, the OAG referred Binance, Gate.io, and Kraken to the Department of Financial Services for potential violation of New York’s virtual currency regulations." virtualmarkets.ag.ny.gov

Shows how petty and fragile the NYAG was. Shortly thereafter he resigned when numerous former girlfriends came out and accused him of physical abuse. If he had only taken a moment to speak to the NYDFS, he would have known that we were already actively engaged with the state.

Written by Barbara Underwood and suggesting Kraken violated regulations. your paranoia is incredible and not helping you.

What paranoia? I'd have the same response to North Korea's AG. Not your business, get lost. What's wrong with that? Not everybody has a claim worth considering. We're busy serving clients and working with regulators who want to collaborate, in jurisdictions we serve clients.
