The issue with US health care is really that doctors effectively formed a monopoly.. you need a license to practice and there is a fixed number of licenses given out

Yeah, very cool that doctors choose to sell their services at a discount. They are making a big personal sacrifice, subsidizing the cost of medical care at their own expense. We should appreciate them, not the government.
