Serious question: is it still theft if you move in to a taxed geo knowing the situation in advance (assuming new taxes don’t emerge after)? What if gov provided you a one-way expatriation/relocation budget on your 18th bday/every time taxes change?

Sounds kind of like leasing an apartment at an apartment building. One difference is you can move to another building down the street such that you don’t have to find a new job or be an airplane flight away from your friends and family

Good question — it might be sort of like retail stores, you know and plan for a certain amount of theft...it doesn’t make it less theft though. On a smaller scale there could be taxes that aren’t theft I suppose

Taxes that aren't theft are coming up actually. Kids go trick or treating. I provide transportation and security. I then confiscate 10% of the candy for my wife and I. The kids call that theft and I call it a tax.
