1/3 Yesterday a test of an unreleased advanced order type encountered a bug which resulted in the order's prices being matched against the wrong side of the book. Some clients bought from the tester at $8000 and others sold at $12000 without clearing the intervening liquidity.

So, because a bug is discovered in a limited production beta once every few years it means there’s no testing? Our new order types undergo thousands of automated and human tests for months before they make it to prod. You can’t find all the bugs all the time.

Example: Customer has a Stop at 1000 dollars under price action "just in case" the market moves 20 percent against them (through natural course of price action). However, your bug caused this 600 market sell. They are out 600 dollars. How would you address this?

So let’s get this straight - a bug in your system triggered some orders that cost me money and a) you’re not going to make me whole and b) you’re not even going to refund my commissions on either the “bug” trade or my unwind - ie you will actually profit off your mistake ??

I never said that. I said that you should contact support if you feel like you were adversely affected by the incident and the client services team will take a look at your case and see what we can do for you.
