The FTC-Facebook settlement agreement does not limit how Facebook collects, uses, and shares the personal information of its users. That's a missed opportunity.

It's catch-22 for US: less data collected is less data to subpoena. If you meddle sufficiently, the data/business moves offshore, out of reach. The data-for-service trade has been clear from day 1. It's entertainment, a luxury, a commodity. Shop around if the price ain't right.
