this podcast made me wonder how many bay area residents think the area is a less pleasant place to live as a result of the tech boom. is there good polling on this over time?

obviously many people are moving here, and there is a lot more money, but i wouldn't be surprised if most people who live here think the quality of life is declining, even among the wealthy.

People are blinded by correlation. Look at the market dynamics. Demand > supply is the reason prices go up, not tech. Why does SF continue to be the Mecca of homelessness and drug addiction? High QoL cannot be bought in SF. If you have a choice, move.
