We’ve taken less than 30k from Coinbase. If you think that it affects our coverage in any way, you are delusional

The whole reason pharma gave doctors $3 pens is because they know that even small amounts of money has outsized influence.
Not to say that the Block is biased - just that, when taking money from the subject of coverage, you have to go to great lengths to avoid that perception.

I can tell you with honesty that Coinbase has no influence in what we cover and how we cover it.

Dudas plays no effect in what we cover. Believe it or not, it's true. Some of the articles that covered Coinbase are paywalled. Such as this one (excerpt below): theblockcrypto.com/2019/02/25/mon

So, I take it TheBlock thinks a single professional trader not understanding how stop losses work is a travesty compared to the easily explained and understandable acquisition of a company accused of facilitating the murder of journalists and political dissidents.

There certainly seems to be an editorial tilt for the orthodox institutions and against upstarts among journalists. Coinbase is always given the benefit of the doubt, binance is always portrayed as shady, kraken is always too loud.

Again, this is unbiased bordering on fluff and toward the end definitely fluff. This cannot be compared to the piece about a single guy not understanding stop losses.
