I am struggling to see how this is different from what we saw across the board (CB, Finex etc) in 2016, 2017 during those major dumps. Can anyone please help explain?

Yeah wasn’t meant to be a hit piece, just reported the tip and everything according to that institutional account. They believe pretty strongly kraken enabled stop hunting. Had stops at 120, 119.5, 118.5, and 117.5 that weren’t hit on other exchanges. Got stoped at 116 on Kraken

Markets disconnect every day in crypto. This isn't the nyse with bots arbigraging markets in nanoseconds. If a move happens it frequently will over-react somewhere. How about coinbase? Are they faking liquidity too? I can give you examples like this for every single exchange.

I hear ya, that’s kinda the point of the article. Institutional investors exploring crypto aren’t used to lacking market structure like higher slippage and execution costs. It’s obvious to seasoned crypto traders, but that’s the feedback we heard from multiple II parties
