...and how do you prevent those banking partners from sharing with Chainanalysis?

Correct, and we are not providing banking partners blockchain wallets or related data, only identity docs for verifying banking information. Not sure why they would share that with Chainalysis. We have only used chainalysis for our own blockchain investigations.

Yes it is, chainanalysis doesn't even offer a monero suite. They bugger us from time to time and don't even understand the basics of how it works. There only edge was that they started on kraken and other snitch exchanges and have a fuckton of customers data access.

I see. Could be others have provided data to them. Don’t know what “started on kraken” means — founder is our former COO and we were an early user of the product but no special relationship. Good question for people to ask their exchanges.

Also possible that some of the Chainanalysis data is straight up false. :/ They seem to be fairly protective of it and their methodology.

Definitely could be some mislabeling. Data could come from many sources, including hacks, forums, their own use of services to follow coins. Exchanges might provide in exchange for discount. Could have a deal with gov to process subpoenaed data for them — who knows.

They also may be getting info from Kraken customers (or "fake" customers) doing transactions to identify addresses in your wallet(s).

Yeah, I would be surprised if they are not doing this on all the exchanges/wallets.

I have tried. Did not like that much. Strayed to Bitmex about 16mo ago. I'm not supposed to be there. Would prefer to trade with you. Hoping for improvement.
It is amazing! The cryptowatch UI is beautiful, fast and reliable. Please don't abandon it. It works a lot better than any of those other bloated sites. Just improve the order types, Kraken is already the most solid exchange. Once websockets is on, it will be the best.
