Peter, I am not in the mood to tutor you.
Iβm passionate about XRP and I donβt want anyone to be mislead about what it is or isnβt. There is an enormous amount of confusion between Ripple and XRP and I do what I can to help clear it up, but I canβt control the world.

When you say there's confusion between Ripple and XRP, do you mean Ripple the protocol or Ripple Labs, Inc.?

I think it might be helpful to stop using "Ripple" to refer to all of it.
Ripple = protocol
XRP = native currency
Ripple Labs = company which owns a bunch of XRP and contributes to the development of the protocol.
Jesse, can you just answer if Iβm buying XRP or Ripple the company. Iβm not buying whatever it is from until something gets cleared up. Thanks!

The reality is that youβre not buying anything from kraken. Youβre entering a contract to profit or lose on the price movement of XRP. You own nothing.

Let's say Ripple Labs = company that has a lot of XRP held up in escrow so the XRP can be spread to institutions,governments, and the general economy in a responsible way at certain rate over the next few years. This is a much more truthful statement than using the term "owns".
