Is "ripple" or "ripples" deprecated? Is a singular unit called a ripple or ripples?

Iβm not , but my position is that the name of the asset is the same as its three-letter ISO-4217 compliant code.
So:
0.5 XRP = 500,000 drops
1 XRP = 1 XRP
2 XRP = 2 XRP

Is that supposed to be an answer to the question? Itβs always been clear that the currency and the protocol are two different things, just like Ethereum is not ether.

Actually, there is an enormous amount of confusion surrounding Ripple and XRP. Iβve spent the past 4 years trying really hard to help clear it up. Everybody is trying to be crystal clear here. Why is it too much to ask that you list XRP as XRP?

Its very interesting how CEO of Kraken comes up to community and question latter of Ripple Labs. decision. Though it was answered 100 times. Nevertheless, I thought that CEO of company that lists XRP will have channels of communications with Ripple labs to ask question.
