Such a mentality is terrible, and short sighted too. Regulatory moat builders may win locally, but imo long term they'll lose in an interconnected world. Also, how can you be proud of your work if it's built on bullying tactics?

Problem is the subjective interpretation of "sane" by the government. My toilet, in the US, is only allowed so much water in it by federal law.
