To say that opponents of C are “greedy” is insulting. There are plenty of compassionate and economically sensitive reasons the city should not want C.
It’s a futile battle. I have spoken to numerous homeless people. Those that got out say that you must simply want to get out. Suburbia cannot comprehend that no amount of money can change this, because they don’t talk to the homeless.

This doesn't make sense. Every homeless person who got back on their feet had someone to help them. You can't get a job if you haven't bathed for days. You can't bathe unless someone gives access to a bathroom. You can't quit drugs without help. You can't pay rent w/out $ help.
