I've lived in San Francisco since 2001 and have some thoughts about the homelessness situation. If you have time, would love to connect and maybe work on the problem together.

None of us really has time unless we decide to. I suspect that the problem can't be diagnosed using economic models that presuppose rational behavior, and that the lesser social behavior is yours.

One way to find out would be to try what has not been tried: eliminate services. Why do people feel morally obligated to solve this particular problem vs the many other more critical humanitarian crises around the world? Focusing on local seems selfish.
