performance, however, this is not very helpful without the context of broader industry trends. Are you using one exchange as example of the norm, or as an example of an outlier? What is remarkable here?

Hi Jesse, As we mentioned, the volume drop was "the result of cryptocurrency prices that remain in decline." The remarkable note here is only that Kraken has a split BTC volume between the EU market and the US, when it was 2/3 of the operations business in Jan-17.

This could very well indicate a European investor fatigue as Kraken was indeed the largest exchange offering cryptocurrencies outside the majors. It would then make perfect sense to try and shift efforts in Asia.
