Whether it’s empathy and support for a variety of causes ranging from gender-based difficulties to regime change to something as self serving as their own breathwork/abundance/manifesting courses they want you to enroll in, this often isn’t a mutual flow of respect.

The Michael Bay movie Ambulance is easily the worst movie I’ve ever seen. The script is horrible. It’s like Bay wrote it in his Uber on the way to the first day of shooting. ChatGPT could have done a better job. Anyhow I can’t look away from this train wreck.

A special counsel can exonerate a president more credibly than his own attorney general can. Biden surely made an innocent, harmless mistake. But mistake it was, and if Trump is to face consequences for a much graver offense, Biden can’t shrug off a superficially similar one.

That’s the 2023 bed we have made for ourselves. To take care of our own mental health we have to concern ourselves with the mental health of the people ready to call us a snowflake, a sheeple, lazy, old, a Luddite, or worse. So goes *actual* empathy.

While I’m happy to continue to oblige these people who are clueless of my efforts to protect their feelings, I still think the problem *isn’t me*. However, it definitely keeps my DMs clear of dudes trying to “teach” me things about men’ rights or alt-finance or even looms.
