Newsmax also gained viewers after the 2020 election, though by February 2021 it had leveled out again.
This time, "They're going stick," Newsmax chief Chris Ruddy told me. "We’re much better positioned. We’re a much more mature as a news organization.”

While Fox has lost viewers at 8 p.m. and in primetime overall, Newsmax has surged.
Eric Bolling's show averaged 202k viewers in the four weeks before Tucker's firing and 489k in the four weeks after.
The question I asked: Can Newsmax maintain the surge?

The Fox News ratings drop is real.
In the 4 weeks before Fox fired Tucker Carlson, it averaged 2.6 million viewers 8-11 p.m. In the four weeks after, it was 1.6 million.
At 8 pm, Fox has declined from 3.27 million (Tucker's final month) to 1.49 million.

Interestingly, that was a month after she heavily criticized Fox’s coverage of the 2020 election in texts with Hannity and Tucker that were made public in the Dominion lawsuit.

There's no mention of the word "primetime," though Fox News says that Laura Ingraham will continue being a host for Fox News — amid speculation based on a Drudge Report item suggesting that two other Fox hosts would be moving into the 8-11 p.m. primetime block

To be clear: If Watters and Gutfeld “get primetime,” and Hannity is at 8 pm, then it would mean that Laura Ingraham isn’t in the block traditionally considered primetime. Though she could be at 7 pm, which Fox has also marketed as primetime. This all still speculative for now tho
