London’s temperature will drop below freezing today and disgracefully homeless people are on our streets. Labour in government will end rough sleeping. Until then, if you can, #HelpLondonsHomeless by donating to @SadiqKhan’s rough sleeping campaign here:https://www.gofundme.com/endroughsleeping …

Think Mr Corbyn's focus on trains is getting him 'side tracked' from Brexit. Now be is onto the cold weather! If you want people to chooo chooo choose you, then derail Brexit!

This kind of comment is exactly why so many left-leaning Remainers are alienated by the "People's Vote" campaign. It comes across as sneering, privileged & uncaring. Homelessness is a tragedy happening *now*. It's freezing *now*. The Tories have worsened it Brexit or no Brexit.

You don't think there's a very real danger that Brexit will make homelessness even worse than it currently is? There's a need to wake up to what it actually means. A lot of people are going to lose their jobs. No jobs results in no means to pay mortgages & so further homelessness

The main cause driving the current homeless epidemic is a Tory government, as it always is. Benefit sanctions, the closure of shelters, cuts to counselling services and the deregulation of the rental market have nothing to do with Brexit and everything to do with Toryism. 1/2

I agree that Brexit may well aggravate that - especially in the hands of the Tories. However, if you can't see how self-interested & inappropriate it is to reframe *every issue* through the prism of Brexit (especially one as tragic as this) then the Remain campaign is in trouble.

It just looks like a bunch of people who didn't really care about politics until it directly impacted them (removing their freedom of movement) suddenly leaping into action & demanding that a leftwing Labour leader (who they would've probably derided anyway) listen to them *now*.
