Labour will bring Railways back into public ownership. Commuters before Cash. It's

PLEASE just oppose Brexit and fully back a
#PeoplesVote so that people will come back to Labour and you can actually win a general election and help FIX this country! how will we renationalise the railways if you ignore and alienate 72% of your supporters and lose their votes?? -
Give up Sarah. There’s no chance of him changing his mind, effectively losing him (and
@UKLabour)the next GE. It’s a shame, but it’s what happens when a left-wing ideologist is put in charge. -
give up on stopping Brexit?? never!!
-
Of course not. I meant give up trying to get Corbyn to change his stance. No way will I give up trying to stop Brexit - with or without Jeremy’s help.
-
Currently, Labour needs Remainers to win a GE. And Remainers need Labour to get
@peoplesvote_uk and#StopBrexit We need each other! So it’s best we work together - rather than fight each other

Where’s the money coming from Jezza? Money doesn’t grow on trees unless you’re writing the Labour Manifesto. Thank god I live in Buccarumbi now, we have a self-sufficient economy. Cheers, Rod
-
The Labour Manifesto is fully costed, the renationalisation of our railways will cost next to nothing & profits will no longer go to a few rich shareholders.
-
About 20 million shareholders. Anyone with a workplace pension will, in all probability, have a stake of some size in the rail companies.

You can do that without leaving the EU, you know that? Look at Germany's state investment in their railways.
-
Which is only possible because they and other EU countries make profit off British passengers. The supranational entity of the EEC ensures that only light reform is possible, not the transformatative policies Labour's next manifesto will put forward.
-
How does the EU make profit from British passengers - by the fact of them travelling through Europe? We'll soon put a stop to that, eh?
-
It’s helpful to Lexit policy to confabulate the actions & powers of national governments, foreign companies & the EU. As regards investment in UK rail, steel, air etc the Tories had no interest as they were devastating U.K. industry, & selling it. Our right to invest is untested.
-
I'd argue our right to invest is not only tested, it's proven - government brought West Coast mainline into national control without a peep from the EU (and a Labour government would have kept it so).
-
East Coast....
-
Correct, my apologies! Fury messes with my compass - thankfully not my moral one! :)
