    I still don't quite know how nonsense-copywriting billion dollar company relates to the original ad agency, but suffice to say: giant companies that live to make others fill in endless forms and respond to countless emails just to get a simple invoice paid can get in the sea

    Turned out: - Some ad agency once wanted to use an original Emojipedia pic - Invoice sent, never paid - Years pass - Somehow this billion dollar company is emailing trying to get bank details so they (?) can pay ancient invoice. They aren't the ad agency. Many confused CCs ensue

    Update: Anil's tweet here reminded me of the company that emailed me something official-looking last year, but proved impossible to figure out who they are or what they do

    There are like 3, maybe 4, multi-billion-dollar tech companies that are fairly well-known but yet I have *no idea* what they actually do, what their products are, or who their products are for. They tend to have homepages saying they're "#1 in ABCDEFaaS" and "call for pricing!"
