Happy to have my latest available online -- with the current focus on what makes a habit, a few unexpected effects in the lab made us wonder what factors could break habits.

1/ Very proud that our paper is finally out in Nature Neuro! We use new wire-free miniaturized microscopes and electrophysiology to find interneuron desynchronization and long term place cell instability in a model of temporal lobe epilepsy.

Three neuroscientists go hunting and spot a bear. One shoots, missing 5 feet to the left. The next shoots, missing 5 feet to the right. The third shouts that the reviewers are too harsh. To be fair, one reviewer misread "bear" as moose, and the other didn't believe in bears.

Honored to join such a lineup of speakers at the Epilepsy in 2020. Thanks and the twitterless Jeff Noebels for organizing it!
