What did elderly & working poor (both of which I have been) do *before* Uber & Lyft? I walked, took the bus, cadged a ride, took a cab - all solutions still available.

As a taxi driver or delivery person, you are largely at the mercy of the market anyway. Not sure why the drivers should be classified as employees when they are supplying the autos and the drivers control when they are available to take passengers or make deliveries.

Might be very tough on restaurants. The restaurants depend on Uber Eats and Door Dash to make deliveries. Does a restaurant want to hire delivery people in this environment?
