Good to speak with President @ashrafghani of #Afghanistan. #NATO remains committed to our mission & supporting the Afghan security forces in their fight against terrorism. All sides must engage in re-energising the peace process to find a lasting solution.

The Afghan government has made every effort to reach an agreement with the Taliban, but it is the Taliban who continue the violence and have backed away from the negotiating table. Certainly the Taliban are not sincere in their actions.

Ashraf Ghani is an obstacle for the peace process. Ashraf Ghani only wants to prolong his stay. The Presidential Palace under Ashraf Ghani is the flag bearer of corruption in Afghanistan. They have embezzled billions of foreign aid money. NATO shall rethink its support for Ghani
