This is why I sometimes ask weird, open-ended questions on Twitter.... I’m trolling for USECASES! Describe your needs, in your own words.... we over here *are* listening. We're working on things to help you.

The width and height attributes are not places to put CSS. If you want to do something like that, you should use inline styles. The width & height attributes are a place to tell the browser how many pixels an image has. I show how in this video:

Excellent news! Now we have Firefox, Chrome — and Edge? (should test it), and soon to be Safari! (whenever it ships from STP... March maybe??) Which is on its way to all the browsers! Put width & height attributes on all your images. More info here:

Here's a diagram of different usecases of how to use this.... (each stack of white boxes is a different project/website). It'd be a way to have all the code in Origin 2 override all the code in Origin 1, without worrying about specificity. In exactly same way Origins work now.

This is what maybe would be helpful (as *one* new tool to help modernize the cascade, we'd need others as well).

Here are drawings to help explain. This is how it works now. (Did you not know this is how !importance works?) (Oh, also, actually there are five Origins right now, I didn't draw Animation or Transition Origins):

Flight 2 of 7! Lots of folks in the air today. We’ll be collaborating this week on aspect ratios, VH units on mobile screens, masonry layout, and much more.

One more Layout Land video, where I make a Mondrian painting responsive using CSS Grid.

Here, I took a Jan Tschichold design from the early 20th century and translate it into a squishy layout for the web.

Did you ever see this Layout Land video that we published last year? In it, I try to articulate what is happening to graphic design because of new CSS.

I don’t know. Things seemed to be getting out of hand a few weeks ago. Violence in the parks.

There is a GUI for changing the theme, switching to compact mode, etc. I show it here:
