California democrats should be proud of this accomplishment, they voted for it.

They might be proud of this unique while chalking up shoplifting as something that is actually quite commonhttps://www.politico.com/states/california/story/2021/05/10/california-has-a-staggering-757b-budget-surplus-1381195 …

Glad all that money is in the hands of such an efficient and altruistic entity as a state government. With the highest income tax rates & sales tax rates in the nation, I'm assuming it should be able to give a one-time $600 check to everyone paying $2500/mth to live in a garage.

I suppose you think the money should all funnel through to tech billionaires where it belongs? Psst here's a secret: the invisible hand cheats. So yes, if we can get government to more fairly redistribute resources its a good thing, and not just $600 checks.

Not sure how the invisible hand cheats when the game is set up by the visible hand of the government with the money they steal from people. The person you fawn over is having dinner with special interests while making people home. It's nice of them to bail out weed with your $pic.twitter.com/UcM4j8J9a0

Your premises are wrong - you assume all taxes are theft. Secondly, in CA the weed industry is a taxed and legit industry. As a capitalist, I would think you'd want taxes to support businesses not go to the poor. Not really seeing your position here.
