    Lean D would indicate a greater than 50% chance of Jones getting re-elected. I don’t see how that’s the case. Guidelines like “incumbents don’t cross T/U” and “can’t beat with no one” are helpful, but shouldn’t be rigid.

    Stu, a) incumbents never cross beyond the Toss Up line this early and b) ya can’t beat someone with no one. Who knows who Republicans will end up with: Roy Moore comeback? Todd Akin decides to move to AL?

    Answering a ? but deserves a wider audience I have to give props to both Dem & GOP pollsters who polled for Sen & Gov campaigns, campaign committees and super PACs. They once AGAIN nailed it and proved once again why so many of the public polling were seriously lacking.
