Our campaign started nearly a year ago, with just a few staffers who believed deeply in 's vision. We beat the odds to get this far, but most importantly, this campaign shaped Democratic politics in ways we couldn't have imagined, and for which I'm immensely proud.

Voters: watch how Dem candidates respond to this temporary and small crisis. It will tell us a lot about their leadership. Question those who place their own interests first. Whereas, those who place the well being of our democracy first are fit to be president in this moment.

  3. Three notable campaigns ended in the home stretch to the FITN cacucus and primary — all candidates of color. This is not a coincidence. We deserve better.

  4. By all means, kill the caucus, but the primacy of two of the most homogeneous states in the nation — Iowa and New Hampshire — has to end. Why? Campaigns that don’t cut it among that narrow demographic, are deemed not viable (Bloomberg’s billions providing the only exception).

Julián Castro was right, y’all: Iowa shouldn’t be first, its caucus is a mess that disenfranchises people. Flashback👇

Is this not white male privilege in action? Mayo Pete jumped first, but it wouldn’t have surprised me if Bernie had done the same, etc.

Remember when everyone was slamming for daring to say that should not be the first primary in the nation for Democrats due to fact that it doesn't reflect Dems' diverse base? Now, it seems EVERYONE is saying this morning that Iowa shouldn't be first now.

This is a total mess. I respect the people of Iowa, they’ve been great—but it’s become very clear that our democracy has been misserved by a broken system.

Networks are filling time with speculation. A smart campaign sends their candidate out now and owns what’s left of the viewing audience. Give a great speech and then on to NH where the ballot box is our app.
