Hey, @YTCreators @TeamYouTube will you create community strikes for people who comment on videos? Like if 5 creators block them, they get they get their IP account flagged for review and commenting privilege revoked? Creators get strikes for breaking rules, why not commenters?

The simple answer is going to be cost effectiveness. It does not reward them to punish their customers, but it DOES reward them to punish their creators (in this sense employees, hired freelancers). Moreover, the advertisers don’t care about the comments, only the content nature.

You're right. It's not right. Comments can be so toxic to their creators, especially the large ones that make the most money. It can't just be our problem. At some point YouTube needs to step up and do something before something bad happens. It's getting worse and worse...

It's terrible and the worst part of YouTube. I think if anyone can be a voice for change, it's you, Jen. You walk the walk. Anything we as subscribers can do, let us know
