My heart is bursting. On the eve of my first child's birth, my dad - who's been in prison nearly my entire life - was granted clemency. He never intended harm, yet his crime devastated many families. My heart breaks for the families that can never get their loved ones back.

He drove people carrying guns to a bank robbery. Knowingly!!! If that is not INTENT then what is? He carried death in his car and paid the consequences as any other person would .

If he had pulled the trigger, otherwise he was merely involved in armed robbery, also a violent crime we incarcerate people for.
