Are you considering any tech business with under 1000 employees a startup? I've worked with a couple companies that were a few hundred people but they'd been around 10+ years ago I wouldn't think of them as a startup Asking so I answer the question correctly

Thanks for asking for clarification! Since brand-new, “we’re building from the ground up” companies have their unique set of benefits + challenges, I’d say companies that have been around 10+ years fall outside of the criteria.

What do you mean by "tech" startup?
-
There are honestly so many definitions out there, and I’m no authority. I don’t know what your particular circumstances are, so I’d just say use your best judgment :)

Saw that intern experience doesn't qualify :( But would love to see results/conclusions from the survey!
-
Sorry – Interns matter too!
Had to draw the line somewhere, and their experiences tend to be even more all over the place

Fair points – There were a lot of trade-offs being considered (e.g. granularity vs. survey length) and ultimately some imperfect decisions had to be made
Qs are purposely open-ended, so no wrong answers. I'd suggest answering in a way that makes sense to you.
