So Facebook confirmed to the Globe (as they did to the CBC) that the page belongs to Minassian. But given that trolling is 4chan's MO, we should still be somewhat skeptical that this post was, in fact, written by him.https://www.theglobeandmail.com/canada/article-facebook-post-connected-to-suspect-in-van-rampage-cites-incel/ …

It’s also possible to frame ‘incel’ into a larger toxic ideological intersection of alt-right/MRA/Petersonian movements.
-
The suspect's likely social disorders are a key factor here, too.
-
Yup, these are precisely the type of young men groomed into this form of radicalization.

Why not wait until police release details of their investigation? I'm sure they are looking into this and other possiblities.

Evidence is key. *likely* is a big tent.

There are now three branches of speculation re: Alek Minassian's motivation: - the 'secure our borders' gang (racists) - the misogyny gang - the awkward social misfit/mental illness 'he panicked' gang
#minefield of speculation. Tread careful. -
It's racist to want secure borders?

It seems far more likely to me that the flood of evidence-free accusations claiming this is a fake post is, in fact, the 4chan campaign at work in this matter. So many posts all claiming this as fake and citing 4chan w/ zero evidence is highly suspicious.

on the contrary, it was 4channers and MAGA chuds being the first people posting it that caused hesitation to believe it was true.pic.twitter.com/DJv7Kxb7k4

The screen grab you posted doesn't have a timestamp & the original tweet has been deleted. So, how would we know when this was posted? More to the point, how do we know *this isn't part of a 4chan effort to convince ppl the FB post is fake*?

To your first questions, you can only take my word for it because i screengrabbed it myself from a thread I was already in. An even earlier posting was at this link and was also later deleted. https://twitter.com/Druid_Con/status/988532448115019776 …
