LOL, today I was called an Uncle Tom and an unhinged radical by two different people for saying the exact same thing.

Jen, if I may make a suggestion, in an attempt to clarify the confusion I am seeing. Could you add something like this to your Twitter bio? “Tweets are my own”, “tweets do not necessarily represent MEAction” Thanks!
-
Yeah sure! When I’ve said that I’ve been accused of being “disingenuous” and when I point to the actual work and programs of MEAction over and over again, no one cares. But I will do. I think the truth is that until we hire an ED, my voice is not my own. It’s really not.

And yet nothing I’ve said in the past few days – speaking out against the psychologization of our illness, medical abuse, or for collaboration across disease – is new. I’ve been speaking about all of these things for years.

But Jen is tweeting from her personal account not ME Action account.

I worry that these conversations encourage group think and a sort of dynamic of agreement through social reinforcement that prevents/precludes people from *reading what I actually write* and drawing their own conclusions.
