Hello Twitter. Here is a story about George Villiers (later Duke of Buckingham, famous for being James I boyfriend) and Charles (later Charles I, famous for being beheaded) going on a Super Secret Mission To Spain. This story is not an April Fool, Though it could be.

This picture from is worth a second look. On the right, , Gray and Chilwell seem to be doing a carefully choreographed modern dance routine (crouching, standing, jumping), while on the left, Iborra gives a piggyback to both Vardy and Morgan.

Inspired by , five pieces that have probably never been played on but should be: - Emily Howard's Magnetite - Rubbra's 7th Symphony - Biber's Missa Salisburgensis - Steve Elcock's Festive Overture - Louise Farrenc's 3rd Symphony

Once, Leicester was forward looking. Aiming to be the Wuppertal of England, 1960s plan to build a 7.5 mile monorail through the city centre to speed passengers past traffic jams was unveiled. The £135m price tag (£2.745bn today) didn’t find favour with the council. Shame.

Fascinating account from of the infamous early C17th composer Gesualdo, who wrote some of the strangest, most compelling music of his time, and also murdered his wife.

Britten was involved in a car accident in 1937. Instead of a fine he was asked by the court to provide a piece of music for a short film about road safety: The Most Important Pedal. & discuss the background to the piece:

Off to the south coast for tomorrow, hoping to see our first away victory & the start of a strong finish to the season. First football match I ever went to, aged 8, saw Brighton defeated 5-0 (by ). But I'd happily settle for 1-0 tomorrow.

Debussy, mon amour. 100 years since your death. I have loved Debussy since I was small, not least for the tale that as a starving musician living in a Montmartre garret, when he managed at last to sell some compositions, he rushed out & bought Japanese prints, lilies & cakes.

This is a bit like a football match where one team scored five times in the first seven minutes, and the commentary team have to pretend there's still a contest to talk about.

Son has decided that snakes are really cute, though slightly put off the ones you have to feed with frozen rabbits. Has decided he's willing to compromise with a gecko.
