Some excellent choices. Love Dead Kennedys. Fugazi are outstanding as well. I love Husker Du and wish I could have seen them live. I only got into punk in later years. Former metal head was I.

I was never a punk, but my friends were and I rode along. I always skewed more to the darker and artsier side, e.g., Throbbing Gristle, Current 93. These days I listen to a lot of stoner rock and doom metal, on headphones when I’m writing.
