Rampant in my mentions are those who imagine that because I failed to cite the racism, sexism, homophobia, imperialism of the time in a tweet that is about TAX REVENUES ONLY, I must either approve or be unaware of them. To these people I say: kindly go fuck your tiresome selves.

My point is (and you knew I had one): The way things are going, when my generation dies there will be no Americans alive who will remember a time when the government actually gave a shit about its citizens. That scares me, and it's up to You Kids Today™ to fight the good fight.

I've heard tales of the long-long ago... when the good people of society dismantled the machines of greed rather jumping under the treads.

The riches you’re describing are built by the generation preceding the boomers. The boomers in power have disassembled the rich paying their fair share and they’ve done it for instant gratification and lack of forward thinking. Generations to come will have to clean it up.

Stop lumping people together. I know dozens and dozens of boomers working their arses off to end this trumpinsanity. Nothing good comes from attacking an entire generation, particularly when you're ill-informed.

Totally Agree! Reagan was the backlash to the 60’s.. An actor who played a president, and began the long slide to being ruled by the Oligarchs, both ours and the Russians. He became Governor as reaction to student protests against the war! His issue before that anti-Medicare!!pic.twitter.com/6UAyrUZaVJ

At 68 I remember it well. My dad was a carpenter and he said if the bottom foundation isn't strong, it won't matter how pretty the rest of the house is. Start where it is broken now. Build a foundation from the bottom by lifting up the weakest with healthcare and a living wage.
