Allowing the Bay Areaβs transit systems to go into a death spiral β a never-ending cycle of service cuts & reduced ridership β isnβt an option. We need to shore them up & stabilize them as they recover.

Next week's SFMTA Board Workshop offers a window into where SFMTA is in terms of budget and priorities. Slides just dropped. Structural deficit looking slightly north of $210M in FY26 once federal funds are totally exhausted. $130M in FY25. New funding is needed ASAP.
