    40 million people lost the ability to provide for themselves and their families, and 100,000 small businesses closed their doors forever, for nothing. The shutdowns didn't contain the virus. They just allowed the political class to be seen taking action.

    The is one of very few research organizations that opposed the lockdowns; lockdowns that (i) proved utterly ineffective at protecting high-risk older people against COVID while (ii) causing enormous collateral public health damage among all ages. Thank you.

    New JAMA paper shows how lockdowns lead to more deaths: "substantial decrease in the number of non–COVID hospitalizations for exacerbations of chronic conditions (heart failure, COPD), and acute medical events (myocardial infarction, appendicitis)."

    Poverty is the natural state of things. Prosperity comes from people who are free to work, gather, innovate and cooperate. If you support lockdowns, even with the best of intentions, you helped do this. Sorry, but its true, and it hurts. via
