See, dairy farmers say this about calves, but I worked on racehorse studs for several years, some foals were worth a fortune, and not once did we separate them from their dams to ensure we "knew how much colostrum" they were getting. It's a shit excuse, plain and simple.
A "stomach tube"? That is so invasive, why? And where is the colostrum coming from?
