Does anyone want to join an anime watching club thing and I are starting? Not 100% sure on the format yet but we are planning on a first meeting to figure it out tomorrow night.

I've given a number of interviews and I hate how every single time, without fail, as soon as we finish my brain goes, "HEY! HERE ARE 500 THINGS YOU SHOULD HAVE SAID!"

I think the 3rd Chainsaw Man ED fit the tone of the series best so far. Absolutely knocked it out of the park (not that the other two didn't)
I answered some questions about the music I wrote for The Game of Fourtune in this devlog!

Got another devlog up! This one is a bit special, I had an interview with the wonderful composer for The Game of Fourtune @JeffPennyMusic and asked him a few questions. I found his answers extremely insightful, and I'm sure you will as well! blacklockgames.itch.io/the-game-of-fo

Missing all my friends at GSC so much! I hope you all have fun, and hopefully I can hang out with everyone soon! If anyone wants to do a virtual catch up soon, let me know!

Something about this time of year always makes me want to watch Kiki's Delivery Service so I did. But now I just want to rewatch Little Witch Academia

Update: I now also watched the concert and it's SO good. I don't know how she can sing that powerfully and perform for THAT long a set. Further cementing in my mind how incredible of a singer she is.

I want to post so many things about Chainsaw Man but don't want to spoil anything. Instead, I'll just use this tweet to tell everyone who watched to listen to one of my favorite bands of all time. All their songs are so great.
I always hear people talking about getting #gamedev jobs by networking. But what's often left out is what that networking actually translates into as far as a career. That is why I'm breaking down my own numbers, to help create some transparency. And I'd love it if you did to!

In school my teachers did analyses of different forms, like sonata form, etc. Can I teach a class that breaks down things like Jrock OP form? It's honestly just as standardized. Maybe even moreso

Is this meant for literal children? Yes. Did I put it on my fridge because my gamer brain likes being told I ranked up? Also yes.

I'm glad other people were in the theater to see A Silent Voice but I really think there should be some kind of seating rules so I can have the proper amount of space to ugly cry.

I'm going to try my best not to tweet this every week, but playing drums just feels so good. I'm super happy with my choice to start lessons. I'm also SO much further with it than I thought I'd be by this point in.

In my class this week we are talking about creating variations on a theme. I have a handful of examples already but I'm always interested in adding new content. What are some of your favorite instances of this in video game soundtracks?

I just noticed something kind of funny, if you look at the Wikipedia entries for studios like Pixar or Dreamworks, it refers to them producing movies. But if you look at Illumination, it uses uhhh... different wording.

The biggest one for me was not mixing while I write. I know everyone has their own workflow, but this was a big one for me personally. Even though I was told it all through school, it took me actually experiencing both to really appreciate why it was constantly mentioned.

I got my new interface a couple of weeks ago, and weirdly, my absolute favorite feature of it is the dim switch. It's completely life changing and I love having it so much.
