few months ago & i discussed the idea of this project. as we did the research, the list of activists whom adolfo needed to sketch also grew. there were times that we questioned if it could really be done. three days after it’s published, i’m still immensely proud. ✊🏻

We have worked quite hard on the project of mass arrests of opposition figures in Hong Kong. Here are some photos of the process in case you are interesting. @jeffielam @denniswcf614 bit.ly/2TRraiz

A nice long read on HK’s labour movement. And not just the dock workers’ strike. looking at past reports of ex-HKMAO chief Wang Guangya’s visit to HK in 2011 also gave me the feeling of oh wow that was the world we once lived in

hkers are allowed to dine in a group of 12 in restaurants but kids are STILL separated by partitions, face one direction during meal times at schools. 12 kids can dine out tgt but not if they are on campus. Another inconsistency in hk’s pandemic policy!

my heart sank, esp when she sounded so innocent, so well-trained as if that’s supposed how things should be. i dont blame the school at all. i just cant help question myself what kind of world i have brought my kids to.

2/ but when signs are pointing that it’s becoming endemic that it’s not going to be away soon, is it time for a rethink? the other day my 4yo daughter told us after school that they are reminded not to speak when they are unmasked (she has lunch at school)

my biggest headache used to be finding a fresh angle on a topic which has already been written for so many times. in just three years time, it has become finding someone in hk who is willing to speak on the record. i’m truly grateful to those who did. it’s not easy. thank you.
