I believe that climate change is the defining challenge of our generation, and our children's, and it's gonna be all hands on deck. So, I am pleased - and trepidatious, and hopeful - to announce that after 14.5 years at Google, I am leaving to found an energy tech startup.

We're going to focus on grid management and optimization - bringing our expertise in big, reliable systems to helping transform the biggest, most reliable system out there, the electrical grid. Getting to zero carbon is going to take some science - we'd like to help.
