Here's a quick implementation of a header that scrolls away, but scrolls back & sticks when you scroll up codepen.io/jaffathecake/p. Is there a better way?
I wanted to avoid the way it works on material.io, where it pops in and out rather than just scrolling in.

that material.io header is truly one of the most annoying things that i have seen a website do.
it doesn't even make sense.. why should the header stick anyways?
it is literally a website around making good user interfaces... how did they manage to do this!??
