Limewire, previously known for being a peer-to-peer media sharing software from the early 2000s, has now rebranded itself as an "open music and entertainment NFT marketplace".
NFT bros have money and nostalgia. The naming rights to dead companies sit in a vault somewhere not making money until someone comes along to buy them. These aren't actually Radio Shack or LimeWire, I'm sure. Just name recognition bought and sold.
i wonder what the long term plan is. they spend so much on these recognizable classic brands and then ruin the reputation in a couple days.
what's the goal!?
