So I understand the name scratchr was given to the site that allows Scratch users to share projects. Why was the name scratchr chosen? Does it mean Scratch Repository, or [...]

Also, the site which is now at scratchr.org (which I understand is unrelated) uses a logo with a similar colour scheme. Is that just just a coincidence?

(my Flickr theories are based on a Flickr being mentioned a lot in a lot of early stuff about the Scratch website)
Definitely inspired by Flickr on both the name, logo, and idea. I do remember liking the fact that the R would mean repository but I think that was after being inspired by Flickr. I don't know much about the scratchr.org website after we stopped using the domain.
