Kinda agree. Cold emails should be targeted to help you get to the next step in whatever it is that you are doing. Asking for the minimum effort and commitment thing from the recipient is probably a good idea.
I strongly encourage folks *not* to ask for a phone call nor heaven forbid an in-person meeting as the call-to-action in cold emails... if it's a mutually great fit to meet up, we'll find out in email #2!
