We're hiring for 3 *fabulously interesting* lead product roles at @stripe: one in San Francisco, one in Seattle, and one in NYC. We're open to any background but you must have great taste in developer APIs and be oddly effective at most things. Email jweinstein@stripe.com. Thx!

Curious- 1)How do people from different backgrounds build great taste in APIs, apart from reading & playing around with public APIs? 2)Does the evaluation weightage change for a tech heavy candidate vs a non tech heavy one? What makes the latter a better pick for an API org?

1/ Building something on our (or any) platform APIs for a passion project and having opinions on how developers would love it more is a great start! 2/ We're open to folks spiking in only some areas but since our customers are primarily developers... need some spike in technical.

If I wasn’t sure about a job change now but was just curious, should I bother? I wouldn’t want to waste anyone’s time.
