I use the free geoip + geoipupdate. I assume they will switch these tools to the new database. At least that's how I read their info on GeoLite2 here: https://dev.maxmind.com/geoip/geoip2/geolite2/ … They're saying it's still a free database, and no word on a new CLI. No lat/long is a bummer though.

you need to use libmaxminddb tools instead, the old geoip tools only work with the V1 database.

This applies to version 1.x only, which was obsoleted long time ago; sadly, 2.x db format and libraries doesn't allow performant lookups; removal of latitude/longitude info in 2019 - well, that is really something new.
