I hate Tokio. This is a piece of shit that just makes developers angry instead of getting things done. This is what made me hate Rust. Struggling to make a Hello World, yes, after that Tokio reform, is not normal. I would never consider Rust ever again to write servers.
Carl is fitting mio to tokio now. The removal of timers and channels from mio was what forced me to rewrite edgedns using tokio. The end result was an unmaintainable mess over just using mio.

I miss the timers, they were really useful (and the implementation interesting). I'm not sure I'll move away from mio 0.6, it fits me quite well for now
