SAP ASE picks numbers from a block and only records the block start. On unclean restart the start point is incremented by the block size 1/2

Default size of the block was in the millions which caused all sorts of app fun when identity values became >2^32 after a few restarts 2/2

This behaviour only occurred on unclean shutdowns (crashes, power loss or using the 'nowait' option to the ASE shutdown command)
