        SAP ASE picks numbers from a block and only records the block start. On unclean restart the start point is incremented by the block size 1/2

        Default size of the block was in the millions which caused all sorts of app fun when identity values became >2^32 after a few restarts 2/2

        Best way to fix this bug is FYI upgrade to #PostgreSQL. With #pgloader it is one command line that you can integrate in your CI/CD.
